Redeeming Repentance

I think we can all think of sins that we hold on to - habits or activities that we think feel good, but are still sins - and we make excuses for these sins or don't acknowledge them, because deep down we don't want to give them up.

However, one of the first things Jesus says early on in his ministry is that we need to repent of our sins. We need to prayerfully give our sins over to Jesus and ask God for his forgiveness.
