Why join a Small Group?
Here at HAC, the purpose of Small Groups is vital for your spiritual growth. We believe that God has designed His Church so that we are connected in a similar way to how a body is to its members (Romans 12:4-5). Joining a Small Group allows you to have the opportunity to connect with others in a way that isn't possible during Sunday morning gatherings. It's an opportunity for you to be seen, loved, and supported in a real and tangible way, all while pursuing Jesus together.
We have many types of Small Groups depending on what you are looking for. Every group has its own meeting schedule, so be sure to check out our groups to find one that meets at time that works for you.

Community Groups
This type of Small Group often meets in the leader's home or outside of the church building. These groups tend to be more life-on-life focused, offering Bible Study or other conversation in the context of doing life together.
Study Groups
These types of groups are more Bible Study focused, offering a variety of studies throughout the year. Groups utilize video resources or books depending on the study, or simply walk through books of the Bible together.
Missional Groups
These groups have a bigger focus on serving together towards a shared mission. They are groups that serve the church or community through the use of people's shared gifting.
Interest Groups
These groups are focused on building relational connections through shared interest. Right now, we only offer these groups for men during the Summer season, but we are planning to expand as people continue to join.
What To Expect.
We understand taking the step towards a deeper community in a church can be intimidating for some people. You can expect good communication with your group leader, a deep relational connection with group members, Honest and Biblical conversation and study, and no more than 10-12 people in a particular group.
